Many people online shared MarLa Francis’s post regarding the Opening Ceremony at the Paris Olympics. Not only did this post maliciously gaslight people who watched the debauchery live globally, but it condescendingly called those who were offended ignorant and uneducated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Francis explained that the headless woman represented Marie Antoinette. In case the deplorables she was addressing didn\u2019t get the hint, she expounded that the headless woman once ruled France, and was found of treason, conspiracy, and stealing from the country (let me add, she was also decapitated, just in case someone may miss it). To make sure she hit the target she wrote, \u201cSound familiar?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Okay, thank you MarLa. We got it now. But why would France use this bloody image of treason as a global display of \u201cinclusion\u201d?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to MarLa, now we also know that it was not the Last Supper (depicted by the LGBTQIA+ performers). No, it is a depiction the the ancient Greek Bacchanal. MarLa patiently explained to her dearest gentle readers that (surprise!)  the Olympics are Greek. To further educate the unenlightened masses, she was kind enough to spell out exactly what Bacchanalia means: \u201can uncontrollably promiscuous, extravagant, and loud party.\u201d And who was the blue guy covered in grapevine (the one sitting as the main course of the \u201clast supper\u201d<\/a>)? He is Bacchus, also known as Dionysus, the Greek god of fertility, wine, and pleasure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now we are getting somewhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, even if you believe that the stage was not representative of the Last Supper, why would the entire world be forced to watch, not to mention many children the \u201cuncontrollably promiscuous\u201d display represented by the LGBTQIA+ community? This is not inclusion MarLa. This is an in-your-face mockery of families worldwide regardless of their religious beliefs. It\u2019s not appropriate for the world stage lady. Imagine if the Opening Ceremony included a preacher on stage calling for all the world to repent and come to Christ during the Olympics. And this is exactly what you are promoting\u2014your promiscuous religion of debauchery. Did you see the dancer with part of his anatomy hanging out? No big deal. It\u2019s all about inclusion, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thomas Jolly, the \u201cinclusive\u201d artistic director of the Opening Ceremony said the following at a news conference, \u201cOur subject was not to be subversive. We never wanted to be subversive. We wanted to talk about diversity. Diversity means being together,\u201d he continued. \u201cWe wanted to include everyone, as simple as that. In France, we have freedom of creation and artistic freedom. We are lucky in France to live in a free country. I didn\u2019t have any specific messages that I wanted to deliver. In France, we are a republic, we have the right to love whom we want, we have the right not to be worshippers, we have a lot of rights in France, and this is what I wanted to convey.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, we were schooled on Sequana, the Goddess of the Seine. It was not Death on a Pale Horse silly Christians (you know the one in Revelation?)\u00a0 That\u2019s a relief. We can stop clutching our pearls now people. And listen to MarLa when she scolds us to stop trying to \u201cend the Dept. of Education\u201d! No, the government is not indoctrinating our children, okay? It\u2019s not like we\u2019re living in Orwell\u2019s 1984, so calm down conspiracy theorists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is so much more imagery that the opening ceremonies of Paris showed exactly what they wanted us to see. But did we already forget the 2012 London\u2019s Opening Ceremony?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MarLa never mentioned the battered Statue of Liberty with the balloon, or the golden \u201cbull\u201d however, she made her point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To my Christian friends who are silent about this, or are posting, \u201cChristianity has always been mocked,\u201d let me ask you this: Why are they not mocking other religions? Because we always look away. Because we always love the sinner, not the sin. Because we turn the other cheek. Because we pray for them. But in all their inclusivity, we are not allowed to voice our outrage at how they repeatedly insist that we must agree with their depravities. We must allow their agenda to infiltrate our schools, churches, and all aspects of our daily lives because if we don\u2019t, we are intolerant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you know what intolerance is? Do you know what exclusion is? How about what happened to the Brazilian surfer Jo\u00e3o Chianca? Have you heard about him?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt turns out that religious controversies surrounding the Olympic Games began even before the opening ceremony. Brazilian surfer Joao Chianca found this out when his surfboard, adorned with an image of Christ, was deemed a religious symbol. The athlete claimed he had to remove it to avoid being disqualified from the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Chianca, two weeks before the games, he received an order to remove the image of Jesus Christ from his surfboard, or else he would be excluded from the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the now-deleted Instagram story, Chianca commented that he is not authorized to place Jesus on his board because “Christ is a\u00a0religious figure” and “the games have strict rules and focus on total neutrality.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
